ZOD: second look to a potential YUP's rival

ZOD is a general-purpose schema declaration and validation library. It was created as an alternative to YUP and some other contenders to address their multiple shortcomings. In this video I share the results of my experimental YUP-to-ZOD project rewrite.

In short:

  1. Zod is two times smaller than Yup. It builds faster.
  2. Zod API is more intuitive and convenient than Yup.
  3. Async validations in Zod can (and will) be better.

Conclusion: Most people should probably wait for the next major version. If you're striving for performance hovewer – you can consider a switch to Zod. I didn't discover any bugs or substantial issues (and I usually do...).
